3D Logo for the EtnoDent Dental Clinic

The EtnoDent mark is a tooth filled with embroidery. Shapes like that do not come out of a letter catalogue — every element of the pattern is milled separately.

3D EtnoDent logo: a tooth with a green embroidery pattern and curved lettering

The clinic's mark is a tooth filled with a traditional embroidery pattern. Logos like that are the hardest to translate into metal and plastic: in vector the pattern looks light, but in three dimensions every diamond in it becomes a separate part with its own depth and edge.

We broke the mark into layers. The white tooth is the base; the pattern is applied on top, milled and painted in two greens that stay distinct from a distance. The name curves over the mark and the strapline curves under it, both on the same radius, so the whole thing reads as a medallion instead of falling apart into three unrelated pieces.

On the clinic's second elevation the same logo was made smaller and set beside the illuminated word for dentistry. There it works as a signature: you read that it is a dental clinic first, and whose clinic second.
